From OR Tambo International Airport:
Take R24 Johannesburg. Take the Durban/Kimberly off ramp and connect thereafter to M2 W Johannesburg. Take thereafter M1 South, direction Bloemfontein/Soweto. Take exit 7 (Booysen road) and keep left. Turn left at the second traffic-light and left at T-junction (Ophir Booysen Rd). Drive straight ahead, you will pass the construction of the soccer stadium, continue straight until you have reached the 7th traffic light, there you turn left into Carr Street. Take second right and second left. There is a mural-painting at the entrance of the Soweto Backpackers and it is facing a park.

From Johannesburg:
Connect to M1 South direction Bloemfontein/Soweto and follow directions above.

From Pretoria and N1:
Follow N1 Johannesburg. Take the Randskou weg off ramp, connect back to N1 direction Pretoria, take the Soweto highway off-ramp and keep left. Drive straight ahead. Turn left at Carr Street, take your second right and your second left.

From Kruger area / Witbank, coming on N12:
From N12 Johannesburg take the N1 Pretoria/Roodeport off ramp. Take the Soweto highway off-ramp and follow directions above.
